About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs team, specializing in the aesthetic medicine field. The ideal candidate will serve as a scientific expert and key liaison between the company and healthcare professionals (HCPs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and academic institutions. This role is critical in supporting the safe and effective use of our aesthetic products and devices by providing deep scientific knowledge, facilitating clinical education, and driving medical engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scientific relationships with key external stakeholders including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, aesthetic physicians, and extenders.
- Identify and engage external academic experts, clinical investigators, and aesthetic industry influencers for scientific exchange and educational collaboration.
- Assist in identifying research opportunities, including investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and real-world evidence generation.
- Provide clinical and scientific education to HCPs and internal teams, including training speakers and sales representatives on relevant scientific content and clinical data.
- Deliver accurate, fair-balanced, and timely responses to unsolicited medical information requests in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Track scientific and market trends through congress attendance, social media monitoring, and ongoing literature reviews; provide summaries and insights to cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of educational messaging and scientific content to enhance awareness and advocacy of Prollenium’s products and services.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and medical affairs teams to ensure alignment and consistency in external messaging.
- Utilize technology platforms and CRM systems to document interactions, manage territory planning, and ensure efficient field activity.
- Ensure the scientific integrity of content used in promotional claims and educational materials, when requested.
- Attend scientific meetings, conduct field visits, and support key initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a scientific or clinical discipline (PharmD, MD, PhD, M.Sc. or NP/PA with relevant industry experience).
- Minimum 2-5 years of MSL or Medical Affairs experience in the aesthetics, dermatology, or cosmetic surgery industry.
- Deep understanding of the aesthetic medicine landscape, including injectables, and skincare.
- Proven ability to engage with and build trusted relationships with KOLs and HCPs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/PowerPoint and CRM platforms; ability to adapt to digital engagement tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix environment.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for science, education, and the aesthetic medicine space.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role, with up to 60% travel required.
