For our client, we are seeking a Remote Inpatient Medical Director to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. You’ll play a key role delivering outcomes for customers and stakeholders in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and take ownership of priorities. This role offers visibility, growth, and impact.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $236,500 – $449,300 annually.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership for utilization management and quality improvement activities
- Perform medical reviews for utilization and quality assurance concerning complex cases
- Support performance improvement initiatives for capitated providers
- Assist in establishing goals to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of care
- Provide medical expertise in adherence to regulatory standards in quality improvement programs
- Conduct rounds to coordinate care for high-risk patients with care management teams
- Collaborate with clinical teams and providers on complex case reviews and appeals
Qualifications
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy required
- Experience in Utilization Management and knowledge of quality accreditation standards preferred
- Must actively practice medicine
- Coursework in Health Administration, Health Financing, Insurance, and/or Personnel Management is beneficial
- Experience with culturally diverse patient populations preferred
