ADIRA Health is seeking a high-impact, execution-driven Fractional Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead and scale our clinical platform across a growing network of primary care clinics.
This is not an advisory role—this is a hands-on leadership position responsible for building and standardizing a high-performing, value-based primary care model. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team to drive clinical excellence, improve provider performance, and implement scalable systems that produce measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical strategy aligned with organizational growth and value-based care initiatives
- Develop, implement, and standardize clinical workflows, protocols, and care pathways
- Oversee and mentor nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- Establish provider performance expectations and accountability structures
- Drive improvements in quality metrics (HEDIS, STARS, RAF accuracy)
- Increase utilization of value-based services (AWV, CCM, TCM)
- Support payer strategy, including securing and optimizing value-based contracts
- Analyze KPIs and implement strategies to improve clinical and financial performance
- Optimize EHR workflows, documentation templates, and reporting systems
- Establish clinical governance processes, including provider meetings and case reviews
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
Qualifications
- MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical license (Texas preferred)
- Minimum 5–7 years of clinical leadership experience (beyond direct patient care)
- Proven experience developing and implementing clinical workflows and operational systems
- Experience supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- Demonstrated track record of driving measurable clinical growth and performance
- Experience with value-based care models, including Medicare Advantage
- Experience securing or managing value-based contracts strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of primary care operations (AWV, CCM, TCM, risk adjustment)
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment preferred
Compensation & Incentives
- Competitive hourly rate: $185–$200 based on experience
- Performance-based incentives may be available based on:
- Quality metric improvement (HEDIS/STARS, RAF)
- Growth in value-based revenue
- Provider productivity and operational efficiency
- Successful implementation of standardized workflows
Authority & Scope
- Direct influence over clinical protocols, workflows, and provider performance
- Involvement in provider hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Strategic input on clinical expansion and care model development
