Help us build the cardiology practice of the future.Atman Health is a virtual cardiology practice built on software-driven, AI agent-assisted care. Our cardiologists see patients by video for any cardiovascular concern, answer e-Consults from referring clinicians, and manage hypertension and heart failure over months of follow-up. We are also expanding into cardio-kidney-metabolic care. ARPA-H selected Atman for its ADVOCATE program to build a patient-facing AI agent that works as a member of the cardiology care team with increasing autonomy across medication initiation and titration, side-effect handling, and triage.
We are looking for a versatile practicing cardiologist to help us expand this practice. The mix of patients and programs changes often. You will care for patients across all of these services with help from our AI agents. You will also get an opportunity to work with our technology and AI team to shape the software improvements for patients and for the care team.
Responsibilities
- See patients in video consultations across general cardiology: chest pain, palpitations, arrhythmia, valve disease, heart failure, hypertension, lipids, and prevention
- Answer e-Consults with clear recommendations the referring clinician can act on
- Titrate antihypertensive therapy from home blood pressure readings and lab results
- Start and titrate guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure
- Manage cardio-kidney-metabolic risk as those programs grow, including lipid-lowering and weight-management therapy
- Act on escalations from the AI agent, adjust therapy, and close the loop with patients and their care teams
- Move between programs as they start and change, and pick up new workflows quickly
- Give direct feedback on the agent’s recommendations, escalations, and patient conversations to make it safer and more useful
- Help in optimizing enhancements in technology
Qualifications
• Board-certified cardiologist (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license• Eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. Atman handles additional state licenses.
• Broad general cardiology practice experience, including hypertension, lipid management, and guideline-directed heart failure therapy
• Comfortable managing cardio-metabolic risk factors beyond the heart, such as obesity, prediabetes, and chronic kidney disease
• Adaptable when programs, patient populations, and workflows change quickly
• At ease with technology. You learn new software quickly, notice when a tool gets something wrong, and can describe the fix clearly enough for an engineer to build it
• Comfortable with video visits and asynchronous consults
• Interested in how AI can extend cardiology to patients who lack access, and thoughtful about where it falls short
