The Opportunity
Our client operates one of the premier early-phase research and innovation facilities in Southern Florida, dedicated to accelerating the development of life-changing therapies. With a long history of successful clinical studies and a highly skilled team, this organization plays a critical role in advancing innovative treatments from concept to patient care.
This is an onsite leadership role for a physician who thrives in hands-on clinical research and wants to directly influence how new therapies are brought to market. You will work in a state-of-the-art 140+ bed facility supported by one of the largest volunteer recruitment databases in the region, enabling rapid study start-up and execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite medical oversight as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator for early-phase clinical studies.
- Ensure participant safety and compliance with FDA, ICH, and GCP standards.
- Conduct clinical assessments, including physical exams, ECG interpretation, and laboratory data review.
- Supervise study start-up, dosing, and medical monitoring activities onsite.
- Manage adverse events and coordinate emergency response when required.
- Collaborate with clinical operations, nursing, and sponsor teams to deliver high-quality studies on time.
- Participate in protocol development, informed consent preparation, and sponsor communications.
- Review study documentation and data outputs, including safety reports and interim analyses.
- Mentor clinical staff and support ongoing training and quality initiatives.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with an active Florida license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
- At least five years of clinical research experience preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and early-phase trial operations.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Must not be debarred or restricted by the FDA or State of Florida.
