For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director, Post Acute Care to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will provide physician oversight for post-acute utilization review and medical necessity decisions in a remote setting. You will work closely with referring physicians, case management partners, and internal clinical teams to support appropriate treatment pathways and improve patient outcomes. The position combines clinical judgment, regulatory awareness, and peer-to-peer consultation in a schedule designed for consistency and efficiency.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $207,800 – $346,300 annually
Responsibilities
- Conduct timely medical case reviews using case management software
- Participate in peer-to-peer consultations with referring physicians
- Apply clinical expertise to recommend alternative treatment options when appropriate
- Collaborate with physician colleagues to improve patient care
- Complete remote training with structured support from trainers and mentors
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. with an active U.S. state medical license
- Board certified in a relevant specialty
- 3 years of clinical experience after residency or fellowship
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws
- Familiarity with Utilization Review Accreditation Commission standards
- Ability to work Monday through Friday and use computer systems independently
- Willingness to perform tasks that require extended typing and speaking
