For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director - Priority Health to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space.
This remote leadership role will focus on guiding medical management activities and supporting clinical decision-making across managed care operations. The Medical Director will partner closely with nurse case management, utilization management, and quality teams to advance patient-centered care and evidence-based practices. This position will also contribute to clinical guidelines, peer-to-peer discussions, and denial management processes that support sound, consistent outcomes.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $210,000 – $250,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Understand and support the organization's mission and strategic goals
- Participate in medical management initiatives
- Provide clinical oversight to nurse case management and utilization management teams
- Advocate for patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine
- Collaborate on clinical utilization guidelines and quality programs
- Engage in peer-to-peer clinical discussions and denial management
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree required (MD or DO)
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting required
- 3+ years of experience in managed care required
- Proven success in physician communication and education preferred
- Active Michigan medical license required within 90 days
- Board certification in a relevant specialty required
- Working knowledge of national utilization management tools preferred
