For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Program Design to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will shape the clinical framework for a virtual care organization, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and patient outcomes. You will partner closely with product and engineering teams to improve clinical tools and help scale programs that support high-quality care delivery. The position blends hands-on clinical leadership with program design, protocol development, and data-informed decision-making in a fast-moving telehealth environment.
You will also help ensure clinical standards remain consistent as the organization grows, while using modern tools and AI-enabled workflows to strengthen operational efficiency and quality assurance.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $250,000 – $290,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Write, update, and refine clinical protocols for the company's care programs
- Lead and scale the clinical QA program using AI integration
- Develop frameworks to track patient and clinical outcomes
- Manage escalation protocols for patient safety and clinical standards
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to enhance clinical tools
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution, board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Extensive clinical practice experience, especially in virtual care or telemedicine
- Proven clinical leadership experience in telehealth or high-volume virtual practice
- Experience in building, running, or auditing a clinical quality assurance program
- Proficient in authoring and maintaining clinical protocols
- Basic familiarity with AI tools and software
- Active medical license in good standing in one or more states
