Telehealth | Integrative & Functional Medicine | Women’s Health
We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for our telehealth team of advanced practice providers. This role blends hands-on patient care with strategic oversight, mentorship, and quality assurance in a growing virtual health and wellness organization focused on women’s health.

Position Overview
The Medical Director serves as the Collaborating Physician and Clinical Lead for APRNs, ensuring high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence. This role includes telehealth consultations, provider mentorship, protocol management, and ongoing quality oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Oversight
- Serve as Collaborating Physician for APRNs
- Provide case consultation and clinical guidance
- Conduct monthly chart audits (minimum five per APRN) to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
- Lead monthly 1:1 meetings and team meetings with providers
- Support professional development and performance management
Telehealth & Patient Care
- Conduct comprehensive telehealth consultations via secure video platforms
- Adhere to state telemedicine regulations and documentation standards
- Deliver patient-centered care grounded in functional and holistic medicine principles
Protocol & Quality Management
- Monitor, update, and refine clinical protocols and workflows
- Ensure policies align with regulatory requirements and program evolution
- Maintain oversight of B2B charts and documentation quality
Communication & Operations
- Serve as liaison between clinical team and senior leadership
- Communicate program updates and workflow changes to providers
- Monitor provider communications and scheduling systems to ensure operational efficiency
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new APRNs
- Update training materials and assist cross-functionally as needed
Qualifications
- Board-certified physician, unrestricted multi-state medical licensure (in good standing). Must be licensed across multiple states including Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia. Or IMLC eligible and able to obtain these licensures within 90 days.
- Functional or Integrative Medicine training strongly preferred
- 3–5+ years of clinical practice experience
- Minimum 1 year of telehealth experience
- Demonstrated passion for women’s health and hormone optimization
- Experience collaborating with or supervising APRNs preferred
- Strong communication skills and comfort with digital health platforms
