For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for medical safety of assigned products
Develop and deliver safety strategies for regulatory submissions
Conduct safety signal detection and benefit-risk assessments
Lead discussions on aggregate safety data analysis
Advance the safety governance framework
Draft and review safety sections of key clinical and regulatory documents
Respond to regulatory authority inquiries with medical safety expertise

Qualifications

MD degree required
Minimum of 7 years in the company/biotech with at least 5 years in pharmacovigilance/drug safety
Experience in clinical practice or academic medicine preferred
Familiarity with global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidance documents
Proven ability in medical review and assessment of safety data
Experience in drafting complex regulatory documents
Knowledge of adverse event reporting systems
